Identifying – Equipping – Empowering New Leaders for New Churches

The Field of Identifying
• Partnering with Seminary admission staff to screen incoming students for church planting abilities and facilitate church planter cohort fellowship groups
• Networking with North American Church Planting Organizations, seminaries, and theological training institutes and colleges
• Researching and publishing best practices in church planting leadership
• Church planting, discernment, and assessment events

The Field of Equipping
• Teaching multiple Master and many Doctoral Level courses in the missiology of Church Planting
• Teaching church planting courses online for theological training institutes and colleges
• Placing and funding students for year long internships in mission-shaped church plants that are Field Education approved
• Establishing Lay Leader Certificate Programs for Church Planters and Church Planting leadership teams
• Providing seminars, workshops and consultations in church planting

The Field of Empowering
• Networking with seminary placement staff and denominational staff from the students’ denomination for first calls—initial ordained leaderships in a church plant
• Coaching and Mentoring church planters in first calls
• Granting seed money for start-up of church plants
• Interpreting demographic resources and seminars: Sower’s Field has a strategic
alliance with MissionInsite, a leading supplier of demographic data considered crucial to church planting effectiveness
